La saisie a été effectuée vers 18h au barrage fixe de ladite Brigade à Dialocoro, sur un camion frigorifique malien en partance pour Dakar.
Sur ledit camion, les délinquants ont aménagé une cachette dans laquelle, ils ont installé une fausse paroi de fond pour dissimiler le produit conditionné en 35 balles.
Le chauffeur a été appréhendé et mis à la disposition de la Justice.
Avec cette nouvelle prise et celle effectuée à Kidira et portant sur 1376Kg, la Subdivision des Douanes de Tambacounda réalise deux grosses saisies de près de trois (03) tonnes de chanvre indien en un mois, compte non tenu des 1076 kg de « yamba » saisis un mois auparavant à Koumpentoum.
Ces saisies récurrentes sur le Corridor et dans le Centre du pays sont le résultat de la mise en œuvre de stratégies de surveillance innovantes initiées par l’Administration des Douanes. Elles se traduisent par des opérations « coup de poings », des opérations « spéciales Covid-19 » et par une gestion coordonnée des frontières.
Les Douanes sénégalaises réaffirment leur engagement et leur détermination à combattre la Criminalité transnationale organisée sous toutes ses formes.
