Ruth Ama Eshun, 30 ans, a été assassinée par des personnes inconnues à Ayuom, près de la deuxième plus grande ville du Ghana, Kumasi.
La jeune femme a été vue pour la dernière fois alors qu’elle rentrait du travail le 3 février 2020. Son corps sans vie a été découvert le lendemain à environ 100 mètres de son domicile.
La police affirme avoir ouvert une enquête sur l’incident qui a suscité l’indignation dans le pays. L’Association des infirmières et sages-femmes du Ghana, un groupe auquel appartenait la défunte, a qualifié l’incident d’acte « inhumain. »
